Hi! I’m Ariana. Welcome to MagicYarnPixels!
If you love the idea of turning a simple ball of yarn into a detailed, pixelated blanket, you are in the right place!
While I design animal blankets and other baby patterns at Crafting Happiness , Magic Yarn Pixels is where I let my love for math and logic shine.
Here, I create special C2C (corner-to-corner) blanket designs that look like beautiful pictures made of tiny colorful squares.
It’s like painting by numbers but with yarn!
Where graphic design meets math
Because of my background in IT and accounting, I look at crochet a little differently. I don’t just see stitches, I see a grid.
I design my blanket patterns to be easy to follow, to have the least color changes as possible and to look great when enlarged on a big canvas such as a king size blanket.
My goal is to make sure your blanket is a guaranteed success. To help you out, I offer:
- Free Blanket Graphs: I post my C2C graphs right here on the blog for free so you can start creating your blanket immediately.
- Detailed Patterns: If you prefer written instructions to follow along with the graph for your blanket, I have those available too!
- A “Beginner’s” View: I remember what it was like to be a beginner. I explain things in a way that is easy to understand, no matter your skill level.
My Life and My Cats
I do all my designing from my seaside studio in the south of England. I live in the sunniest part of the UK with my partner and our three cats: Kitty, Munchie, and PC.
I am a sunshine seeker. During the summer, I spend my days in the garden dreaming up new blanket graphs.
When the English winter gets too cold and gray, I pack up my laptop and my yarn and travel to sunny places around the world.
Being in the sun helps me “draw” the pixelated characters you see in my patterns!
