Understanding the Corner to Corner Method

What Is C2C Crochet?

This Zootopia crochet blanket uses the corner to corner method, also called C2C. You work in diagonal rows starting from one corner and moving to the other. Each small square is called a tile.

Because there are many color changes to make the fox look just right, this is an intermediate-level project.

Why C2C is Fun for Blankets

C2C makes a thick and warm fabric. It is perfect for a Zootopia crochet blanket because the tiles look like pixels in a picture.

This makes the fox shape very clear and easy to see once you finish.

Project Details and Color List

The size of your finished Zootopia crochet blanket depends on your yarn and hook. Everyone has different tension, so your blanket might be bigger or smaller than mine. This graph is 100 squares wide and 80 squares high. You will need several yarn colors to complete the design.

I used 10 colors to design Nick Wilde and some environmental elements like bushes and the sky. Here are the specific colors and the total number of squares for each one:

What Blanket Sizes Can You Make With This Pattern?

You can change the size of your Zootopia crochet blanket by picking different yarn.

f you use Aran weight yarn and a large hook, you can make a huge blanket that fits a king size bed. If you use DK yarn, it will likely fit a double bed.

For a smaller child size Zootopia crochet blanket, you can use the mini C2C stitch with DK yarn.
