Make a Cottage-themed Home Decoration with this Forest Mushrooms Design

Whenever I look at this print, it instantly reminds me of the cozy, rustic, and nostalgic beauty of simpler times. They look like those mushrooms you’d see growing around a quaint cottage in the forest—like the ones we see in fairytales!

I used muted shades of green and red for the original graph. But just like with the Stained Glass Mushroom and Happy Mushroom designs, you can adjust the overall color scheme for your blanket and pick specific colors that match your style and preferences.

Since C2C crochet blankets are a canvas for your creativity, you can make a few more changes to your blanket aside from customizing the colors.

For instance, you can try a different yarn fiber and make your creation glittering or textured. You can also try to add tassels, pom-poms, or beads—your blanket or wall decor can be as unique and magical as you’d like it to be.

You can keep your finished project to yourself and incorporate a little piece of the outdoors inside your home or make it a thoughtful gift to a loved one who’s a nature lover and cottagecore fan.

The size of the Forest Mushrooms graph is 100 squares high by 80 squares wide.

Your finished crochet project’s size depends on the type of yarn, hook, and stitch you use, and how tightly or loosely you crochet.

The amount of yarn you need for a crochet project also depends on the type of stitch, the size of your hook, the thickness of your yarn, and your tension.

Color palette for Forest Mushrooms design

The original graph uses green, red, and cream, but you can customize the color scheme based on your needs and liking.

I’ve calculated the number of squares used by each color to make it easier for you to calculate how much yarn you will need to complete your project.

• yarn quantities – this depends on the yarn and technique you are using and it’s up to you and your taste if you want to do this design in c2c crochet, mini c2c, etc. Depending on the chosen technique, you will need different quantities of yarn which you can calculate using the yarn quantities calculators above.
• yarn and hook suggestions – this design can be made with any yarn brand and hook, the only difference will be the size of your project which you can calculate using the finished size calculators above.
• crochet tutorials such as how to c2c crochet etc – I might be linking to outside video tutorials to show you certain techniques, but this pattern is not designed to teach you how to crochet a certain technique.
