Knowing that many people adore fantasy genres and whimsical designs, I brought this colorful crochet mushroom pattern to life.
Similar to the Stained Glass Bird, this design features a cool stained glass background with different shades of one main color, in this case—green. So throughout the print, you’ll see a dash of bright green, regular green, and light green, giving the design that unique visual appeal.
Then for the mushroom to stand out, I opt for contrasting warm colors: brown, orange, and shades of red. I adore the original graph’s color palette but feel free to try different color combinations and have fun personalizing your creations.
You can use neutral shades like grays and nudes, and make a minimalist c2c crochet mushroom blanket. Whether it’s draped over a couch or spread on your bed, such a chic-looking blanket will look beautiful anywhere in the house.
On the other hand, you can use more colors than suggested. Go with a super fun rainbow theme, and make a cute, magical baby blanket or nursery wall hanging.

I created this design using the following colors: bright green, black, green, light green, brown, red, dark red, and orange.
I’ve calculated the number of squares used by each color to make it easier for you to calculate how much yarn you will need to complete your project.

- yarn and hook suggestions – this design can be made with any yarn brand and hook, the only difference will be the size of your project which you can calculate using the finished size calculators above.
- crochet tutorials such as how to c2c crochet etc – I might be linking to outside video tutorials to show you certain techniques, but this pattern is not designed to teach you how to crochet a certain technique.
